Sacred Fires of Summer

As a last family occurrence for this summer, Amy, Arron, Jim and I took down the MayPole. It always represents winding up the harvest time and we took in the last of the pole beans and packed the car with the last of their belongings before driving them back to NYC.

Here are some random photos of our summer and many of the fires that we shared.

Autumn Time

Two Great Horned Owls woke me early this morning. They reminded me to share this pagan chant:

Autumn time, red leaves fall
While the weeping sky looks over all
Demeter sadly walks the land
The dying grasses in her hand

Happy Mabon!

On this day of equal light and darkness, may you find the balance you need in your life, may you be blessed with abundance of many kinds, and may you be surrounded by the people who love you.
