Over a week ago a stray cat looking just like our youngest planted himself on our back porch. I did not want to encourage him to stay; I was sure his people missed him and I wanted him to return. He was starving though and required food, then love. All he wanted was to come indoors. This was during a very warm spell and we felt it was safe for him to stay on the back porch while we tried to locate his home. After much running around and expense, we had no luck and someone was removing our posters (odd!).
With the weather turning colder and the fact that our cats did nothing but act like he was one of our family, we took him to the vet for tests and allowed him to come in. This dear fellow now has the name of Miles. He gets his middle name, Francis, from the day he appeared on our doorstep. October 4th is St. Francis of Assisi Day. Why that didn't kick me between the eyes that very day is beyond me. Miles fits into this family perfectly.
Such a cool feline tale (or is it tail?).
ReplyDeleteHopefully Birbanto shall show him the ropes of swallawaggery!
